Project Insight - The Island
Since the recent transformation of the old town, marina and promenade & beach areas of Estepona Town, improvements have continued out West with a lot of new investment.
With it now becoming increasingly difficult to discover new property that offer high-end living ’The Island’ project is something of rarity: it is also one of only a few sites available that are truly front line beach left to build modern properties.
The Island is a residential project of state of the art townhouse properties, in a tranquil setting with private access to the beach on the banks of the River Guadalobón, just a short walk west from the popular Estepona marina.
Overview - The project comprises 50 townhouses of three, four and five bedrooms, with sea views and south, south-east or south-west orientations. This project has been named ‘The Island’ to capture the essence of the setting itself: built in a gated community surrounded by the sea & golf in the heart of one of the Coast’s most popular residential areas. The complex will be completely isolated from other urbanisations with a river than runs the perimeter and with the protected pine trees in the green areas, it seems aptly named.
One of the main hallmarks of The Island is water - The communal centrepieces are the expansive swimming area with a 50m saline chlorinated pool, indoor spa with sauna and steam bath and a fully equipped gym and changing area. In addition, two chill-out areas, Balinese-style beach beds, cascading waterfalls and other water features run through the internal pathways and gardens.
Townhouses are available with three, four and five-bedroom all with luxury finishes from 319m2 to 449m2 built on 3 internal levels plus a 4th made up of a roof terrace solarium.
Maximising the natural light has been paramount, with floor to ceiling doors and oversized windows with open plan kitchens and a double height ceiling in the lounge help complete this innovative design.
Each townhouse has a private roof terrace which is an amazing vantage point from where to enjoy the jacuzzi bath and all-purpose barbeque area where a pergola covers the weather hardened wooden floor decking. On the lower level its own underground garage with access to the laundry area.
The homes also have a fireplace, water under-floor heating, hydro thermal hot and cold air-condition system, and fitted wardrobes finished internally. The home automation system means control of lights, climate, shutters & alarm systems can all be monitored and operated centrally or remotely. Other nice details include; suspended toilets, automatic door entry to each garage, security doors, privacy and security blinds on the windows, with double glazing throughout.
Estepona has been able to preserve its traditional Andalusian charm while offering all the key amenities and services of a thriving 21st century resort area. The glamour and sophistication of chic restaurants and designer-brand boutiques, and the outdoor pleasures of a dozen golf courses in close proximity add to the leisure amenities available.
The coastline of sandy beaches runs over 20 kilometres with clear water, with beach bars and restaurants and water-based activities aplenty. An ideal beach location just outside Estepona town centre close to the marina, shopping district and Sunday street market. Marbella is also only 20 minutes away. For airports you have both Málaga & Gibraltar around an hour away.
Build Schedule - Work started in February 2017 with license in place and project will be delivered 4th quarter of 2018 with license of 1st occupation expected to be January 2019.
In summary - Construction has started and the location and timing mean this project will receive great interest and early signs are that sales are going to be strong for this off plan development and rightly so as this short stretch of coast is an excellent area for investment and this promotion is hard to top….
Considering its proximity to the main road there is no sign of any road noise from the plot.
